Braxton County Schools is accepting proposals for local ground beef from October 7-October 18, 2024. The RFP must be time stamped via email by 4pm October 18,2024. The RFP is for the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school years only. The request is for 17 deliveries of 700 pounds of ground chuck. Preference will be given to vendors within a 100-mile radius of Braxton County Schools’ central storage. Proposals must be written and include the following details to be accepted as a valid proposal:
1. Vendor must have a license to operate as a Meat and/or Poultry Distributor for the West Virginia Department of Agriculture (15 points of 100 possible)
2. Beef must be ground chuck (80/20) (15 points of 100 possible)
3. Delivery to our central storage on monthly dates established by customer. The projected dates will be the first Thursday of September, October, November, December, January, February, March, April, and May unless it is a holiday the first school day after the holiday will be the delivery date. (15 points of 100 possible)
4. Beef must be packaged in 10lb packages four packages to a case. This is essential for ordering and delivery to schools. (15 points of 100 possible)

RFP will be awarded between October 21, 2024, via email notification. Vendor must be registered with the WV SSO, have an active business license in WV to bid and complete LEA Form 96.
